The popular neo-Western drama television series ‘Yellowstone’ has been running successfully for the past six years. Fans are crazy about the show due to its captivating plot and talented star cast including Kevin Costner, Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, and more.

The series writer Taylor Sheridan never gave anybody a chance to raise a question about his writing skills and presented five superhit seasons to the audience. But now, a new viewer has emerged who is pointing out the showrunner’s mistakes. He keenly observed the show and found himself stuck in the first season.

A New Viewer Raises Question on Yellowstone’s Storyline

Raising the question on Reddit, he wrote, “I’m only a couple of episodes in. And the cattle get stolen, and John pulls this OK corral-type battle on. With the helicopter and shit and eventually loses a son because of it. Next episode he just puts Rainwater in prison, for no reason, and gets his cattle back. Like am I a dumbass?”

“Couldn’t he have done that right off the bat? Instead of a fancy show and losing a son. We hear “he´s a reasonable man until he´s not” doesn’t look like it tbf. Any thoughts or suggestions on this matter?” he added.

The Yellowstone Episode that Has Become a Part of Controversy

The new viewer interrogates about the episode in which the lead character, John Dutton played by Kevin Costner engages in a ‘corral-type battle’ to save his family’s stolen cattle from the Broken Rock Reservation. During this event, Robert Long murders Dutton’s eldest son, Lee. But in the next two episodes, it is shown that the protagonist brings back the cattle with his wit.

Now the question arises if the task was so easy then why did John let his son die? Without any reason, he just put Rainwater behind bars and forced him to release the cattle.

Audience Reaction to the Question of New Viewer

This question has divided ‘Yellowstone’ fans into two groups; one is calling the showrunner silly while the other is defending him. A group is claiming that Taylor Sheridan has the habit of stretching the plot unnecessarily. Additionally, he forcefully highlights some unimportant characters and shadows the lead ones.
