anime watching

Most people who aren’t introduced to anime may think it’s for children. A popular belief among non-anime fans is that anime is just another form of cartoon. Well, being an anime fan, I want non-anime fans to experience anime for once in their lives. So, they may know why anime is an art and nothing like the ordinary cartoons they compare with.

In this article, my objective is to persuade people to watch anime. I will list down some very strong reasons that may make up their mind to watch anime. So, let’s start:

Anime Feels Realistic and Convey Stories Beautifully

Sometimes, anime gets so realistic that it feels like they’re inspired by true events. The complex side of human nature is depicted to perfection in anime. Even in some superhero anime, you may still find human flaws in the heroes, and that allows the audience to relate to them.

For instance, have you heard about Naruto? An orphan born with a nine-tailed fox inside him. His predecessors captured the nine-tailed fox when it attacked their village. And as he was carrying the devil inside him, people around him always considered him to be a monster as well.

Anyway, he did get hurt by everyone’s behavior toward him, but that didn’t detract him from protecting everyone and becoming the village’s leader. Eventually, he achieved his goal, but it took him years and a long, tiring journey full of compromises.

In short, every story in anime feels realistic and helps viewers relate to those stories in different ways.

Anime is Accurately Translated into Different Languages

It is one of the major factors that has contributed directly to the anime’s popularity around the globe. Be it any major language spoken around the world, I believe you’ll find most anime series translated in that language.

When I started watching anime years ago, most series were only available in original audio with English subtitles. However, as I grew up, I found most anime were translated into Spanish and offered Spanish subtitles as well. I started to enjoy watching anime more simply because I could understand the story easily in my mother tongue.

So, with anime, it does not matter what language you speak or understand. There is a bright chance that you’ll find anime series translated into your mother tongue.

Anime is Easily Accessible on the Internet

Today, finding an anime series you want to watch is a piece of cake. Besides anime availability on giant streaming platforms, like Netflix, there are thousands of websites where you can find any anime you want to watch. Also, most of these websites don’t charge a dime and offer multiple audio and subtitle options.

My personal favorite is AniWatch.to, where I can find thousands of anime dubbed and subbed in Spanish. I can even download anime series for free. And there’s only one thing I need to take care of, my internet. Simply because to watch anime in high or ultra-quality, a solid internet connection is a must. On that front, Cox Internet helps me binge-watch and download any anime series I want seamlessly. Also, if you speak Spanish like me, you may check out Cox en español to find the perfect internet plan.

Bonus Section: Best Anime Series to Watch

In this section, I will suggest four series that I believe are perfect to start your journey in anime.

  • Naruto: You’ve seen how much I’ve blabbed about Naruto above. To understand why I love this show so much, start watching  Naruto today. It is available on Netflix, so you won’t have to find it anywhere else. Just make sure you get a solid internet connection because I know you’re going to be hooked and buffering would frustrate you a lot.
  • Your Lie in April: It’s one of the most heart-felting anime I have watched till now. The story revolves around the story of a young pianist with an abusive mother. Despite his mother’s cruelty, he loved her to bits and stopped following his passion after her death. Once you start watching this series, you’ll realize how complex human nature is and how people leave a void in our lives when they’re gone.
  • Death Note: It’s a psychological thriller that revolves around a boy who coincidently finds that his notebook has superpowers. Whatever he writes on it, disappears! Knowing what he was capable of doing now, he started to get rid of criminals one by one. As the boy was on a roll, he caught the eye of a detective and what happened next made Death Note one of the best anime series till now. And as I don’t want to ruin all the fun, watch Death Note to find out the complete story.
