anime watching

At some point, you must’ve noticed around you that people are going crazy over anime. But have you started admiring it? Or are you only looking for reasons to start one? Let me tell you, anime with change you completely.

Popular American filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan once said in an interview, “Anime is intended to have ambiguous features. That’s part of the art form”.  Well, I can’t disagree with them, it is a form of art that you only get addicted to once and never go back.

But, why haven’t you been following anime? It doesn’t matter because today I’m going to give you 3 reasons to start watching anime. I’m quite confident that as soon as you finish this article, you will pick up a new show.

Anime Feels Realistic and Convey Stories Beautifully

Anime Feels Realistic

Anime is portrayed in such a way that it seems realistic, you will always find yourself relating to its characters or stories. One thing I understood after seeing anime is that villains are not born, they are created.

Itachi Uchiha a globally renowned character killed his whole clan and his parents so he could stop a war from happening. There are anime like Attack on Titan whose story revolves around freedom, slavery, war, oppression, and power.

Can you just see how deep these concepts are? I could cry just by talking about it. Anime isn’t meant for children anymore, and some even hold enough power to traumatize you for life.

Anime is Accurately Translated into Different Languages

Originally anime were meant to be only in the Japanese language but as they grew popular now they are available in almost every language. You get a subbed version as well as a dubbed version.

The communication barrier is no longer an issue because it doesn’t matter where you’re from or what you speak or can understand. It knows no limits. However, most of the watchers prefer original audio with translated subtitles.

This could be hard to follow if you are new to it, but you’ll get the hang of it, right?

Anime is Easily Accessible on the Internet

Anime is available on all the platforms let it be Netflix, Prime Video, or Disney+. These apps/sites have a wide range of shows that you can choose from. But if you are looking for something that is only made for anime then you should consider Crunchyroll, Hulu, or HIDIVE.

But these aren’t free mind you that they are paid services, but again you have pirated, or you can say free options like HiAnime, 9anime, and animepahe. There are more, but these are considered to be the best.

Pirated options are non-ethical, so I will suggest you to go for paid ones, but if you can’t then be careful while using third-party sites.

FUN FACT
The first anime is said to be released in 1917 and the first known anime movie was released in 1947!

Bonus Section: Best Anime Series to Watch

In this section, I will suggest four series that I believe are perfect to start your journey in anime.

Naruto

Naruto

If you are looking for a little bit of everything like action fantasy, comedy, character development, the concept of society, or pretty much anything, this should be your first choice. Naruto was my first anime, and it holds so much importance to me.

It follows the tale of a boy named Naruto Uzumaki. He has a 9-tailed fox demon sealed inside him, and people look at him as if he is a monster as well. But he doesn’t let anything get in his way. He dreams of becoming a Hokage (village leader).

Your Lie in April

Your Lie in April

Words can’t express the amount of pain and emotional damage this anime has given me. It is a masterpiece. Just a warning, you will never be able to recover from this and never dare to watch it again, but it will be very close to your heart.

There was this line in Your Lie in April that goes like “The moment I met her, my whole life changed. Everything I saw, everything I heard, everything I felt, all the scenery around me… started to take on color.” The story revolves around Kosei Arima and Kaori Miyazono and how they help each other overcome things they experienced.

Death Note

Death Note

I hardly doubt that you didn’t hear about Death Note. It is one of the best Mystery Psychological thrillers, and it will change your whole personality. Light Yagami an excellent student stumbles upon a book called “Death Note”.

It was dropped by Shinigami Ryuk (death god)  and this was no ordinary book whoever name was written in it would die. Just see this anime and you’ll find yourself wanting for more.
