Late beloved Hollywood actor Robin Williams was recently trending on his death anniversary.
Amid this trend, a post went viral and was shared on X (formerly Twitter) on August 9, claiming the late actor had a pet monkey. Due to this, he was slammed by internet users and was in the news for keeping a pet monkey.
Disapproving this news, daughter Zelda Williams claimed- “It’s been brought to my attention some probably AI-written BS like this is going viral.”
Furthermore, she said-“Dad didn’t own a pet monkey, NO ONE should, and if you’re ever tempted to, support your local exotic animal rescues instead.” She later goes on to confirm that the monkey is Crystal (his co-star) in the film Night at the Museum who now lives at an animal rescue center.
She even addressed that there is no truth in these photos and that they are only created to stir rumors about the beloved actor.
Zelda, back in her interview with Rolling Stones, continued expressing her thoughts about transitioning from working as an actor to directing. As for the fact, she is the daughter of Hollywood’s most beloved actors, so whenever she was on set, she said- “For some people, I reminded them of him and it made them sad. Or I was just never going to live up to him and it made them angry, or they didn’t believe I should be there. In either case, none of those things are about me. They shouldn’t concern me. But I’m human, and it was really tough.”
Zelda in the end proclaimed that she now lives a “pretty peaceful life” in Los Angeles.
