The renowned rapper Charles Jones professionally known as Julio Foolio was shot dead early Sunday morning at the Tampa Holiday Inn.
The Tampa police department revealed that the shooting happened about 4:40 a.m. in the parking lot of the Holiday Inn at the intersection of Fowler Avenue and McKinley Drive.
During a conference, the public information officer of the Tampa Police Department, Joneé Lewis stated, “What we have learned, and this is early in the investigation, two cars were shot at.”
Police Officers Believe that the Dead Person is Charles aka Julio Foolio
In the gun-firing, four people were targeted but only one was shot dead; the other three were taken to the hospital. According to police, the person is believed to be Charles Jones alias Julio Foolio but they are waiting for the medical examiner to confirm this.
The Tampa police denied the guests to leave the hotel and are inquiring about the incident. Lewis said, police officers are there to assist if needed. They are looking through the videos available to get every detail about the incident.
Currently, no one has been arrested. Officers are trying to find more clues to catch the attacker.
When police were investigating, a hotel guest named Jeremiah Claypool said, “I only heard one (gunshot). It woke me up, but apparently there were more than that.”
The police officers are appealing to the public to provide the video, photos, or any information anyone has that can help solve the case.

Julio Foolio Lawyer and the Girlfriend Confirm the Death News
Confirming the rapper’s death, his lawyer stated, “It is with deep sadness that we confirm Mr. Jones passed away early this morning.
Mr. Jones had been in Tampa to celebrate his birthday over the weekend. Law enforcement reports indicate that he initially stayed at an Airbnb but was asked to leave due to exceeding occupancy limits. He subsequently relocated to the Holiday Inn, where he was involved in an incident in the hotel parking lot and reportedly ambushed.”
Apart from the lawyer, Julio’s girlfriend Blanco Mani also addressed this unfortunate event on social media. She dropped the rapper’s photo on her Instagram account and disclosed that he died after celebrating his 26th Birthday in Tampa.
Her Instagram story revealed that Julio organized a pool party at an Airbnb in Tampa to celebrate his birthday.
