Monpoké, Pokémon’s adorable new brand takes the beloved video game creatures and transforms them into cute, little and soft versions for the tiny fans. This delightful line features books as well as clothing with an exciting anime on the horizon.
The title Monpoké has been given to the upcoming short anime which will follow Pikachu as it takes on his adventurous journey on Monpoké Island. On the island, this iconic character will come across friends like Ludicolo, Dedenne and many others.
Each episode will come with a duration of five minutes and the series is penned by Reiko Ysoshda who is quite popular for her work on K-ON! nd other popular titles including Tokyo Mew Mew and Non Non Biyori. The studio behind Aggretsuko, Fanworks will be handling Animation for the anime.
The YouTube channel of Pokémon Kids TV Japan unveiled a vibrant music video featuring the theme song, “Hajimemashite, O Atsumeyo,” to mark this exciting announcement. The literal translation of the song is, “Nice to meet you, let’s collect them” and the video shows scenes from upcoming series as well.
The fans can mark their calendar for the 19th of February 2025, when Monpoké will make its debut on the Pokémon Kids TV Japan YouTube channel. Viewers can enjoy the first two episodes on the launch day itself, thereafter, a new five-minute episode will be released for the fans every Wednesday. Fun Times on Monpoké Island web series on YouTube was introduced by Pokémon Company earlier this year, aiming to assist parents in introducing their children to the captivating world of Pokémon. Originally the series and the brand were exclusive to Asia, they are not expanding to new markets. Monpoké merchandise brand was launched in 2019 by the Pokémon and had previously worked with famous babywear and maternity designers like Inujirushi, Kawada, etc.
