Since the conclusion of Kohei Horikoshi’s iconic superhero manga, ‘My Hero Academia’, fans have been eagerly waiting to take part in the global character poll to determine the World’s Best Hero.
The results came out on the SHONEN JUMP YouTube channel in which it was declared that Bakugo, Deku, and Todoroki will advance to a 24-hour run-off poll to the crown THE MHA, where the champion will earn a real-life statue. Bakugo will also get a special reward for clinching the title of World Best Hero!
‘Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight’ triumphed in the first place; it was closely followed by others including ‘Deku’ in the second place whereas the third place went to ‘Shoto’.
The Plus Ultra State was continued till December 3rd in Japan, where fans were allowed to cast their votes once per hour and each fan can only cast votes up to 12 times. A video has also been released that shows the fierce competition among the top three.
Other than the three mentioned above, the other heroes included in the global Top 10 are ‘Eraser Head’ (4th place), ‘Red Riot’ (5th place), ‘Endeavor’ (6th place) and ‘Hawks’ (7th place). The eighth, night, and tenth places were held by ‘Dabi’, ‘Tomura Shigaraki’, and ‘Phantom Thief’ respectively.
In most of the regions, Bakugo, Deku, and Shoto dominated the top three places with Deku being the leading one in Europe over Bakugo. Notably, the legendary figures All Might and All for One only made it to the top 10 in one region, it was in 10th place in Japan as well as the Middle East.
The winner of the My Hero Academia will have a statue crafted in their likeness which will be inspired by an illustration from Horikoshi which is going to be revealed in the year 2025.
