MBS and TBS’s Dramaism block announces that there is a new live-action drama based on a romantic comedy manga series called My Dress-Up Darling, which is set to be aired in Japan on October 8, 2024.
Further, the official website reveals that the lead characters Wakana Gojo, and Marin Kitagawa, are played by Kota Nomura (20 years old), and Riko Nagase (22 years old), respectively.
Fans on X, have shown their enthusiasm and excitement about the new show. As they have been commenting, various uplifting comments like, “We WILL be there. I love live action slice of life romance adaptations. The only genre that always works in live action”, “sounds like a must-watch!”, “It looks adorable”, and also “Yay”.
Despite such comments, most of the viewers have discouraged the announcement so far, with most comments stating how they have been waiting desperately for season 2 of the anime, and not a live-action drama series. Moreover, there has been a huge disapproval of the selection of the lead characters.
People commented, “Bruh! i wanted Akase akari as Kitagawa!!!”, “Why can’t anime just stay as that and not get a live action anymore?! We don’t need it ”, “Won’t give us season two but a live action”, and “Announcing everything but telling us anything about season 2 💔💔”
This is due to the fact, that after the first season of “My Dress-Up Darling” which concluded in 2022, audiences have been eagerly waiting for season 2 of the manga-style series.
