A series of rankings reflecting the listening trends of 2024 have been unveiled by Spotify; this data has been derived from the music and podcasts of 2024. ‘Bling-Bang-Bang-Born’ is the soundtrack that stood out among the listeners in Japan. The song was created by Creepy Nuts to be the opening theme of the anime series, ‘MASHLE: MAGIC AND MUSCLES’,
The song achieved the distinction of being the most streamed track in the country, earlier it also set records to be the fastest song in Japan by Japanese artists to accumulate 300 million streams on the platform.
In addition to this, it has dominated Spotify Japan’s daily charts for a straight 125 days which were from the 18th of January to the 21st of May in 2024. Moreover, the song ‘Bling-Bang-Bang-Born’ has emerged as the most-played song that too by Japanese artists internationally this year.
This also marks a historic achievement, being the first ever song to reach the top of both domestic and international categories on Spotify in Japan. The song bagged the first position in the list of most played titles by Japanese artists overseas in 2024.
A press release states that the track was widely popular, especially in the United States, South and Central America along with some Spanish-speaking Europe, placing the song at 52nd place on the global daily charts.
