Lauryn Hill Performs with Son YG Marley and Rapper Wyclef Jean at BET Awards 2024

On 30 June (Sunday), one of the greatest rappers of all time, Lauryn Hill lit the stage with her son YG Marley at the BET Awards 2024. The well-known singer started her performance with the popular title track of her superhit debut solo album ‘The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill’ released in 1998. Following that, she transitioned to her other 1998 hit single ‘Lost Ones’. 

After that, Hill’s 22-year-old son YG Marley joined her on the stage 

and performed his 2023 debut single ‘Praise Jah in the Moonlight’ which his mother co-wrote for him. In addition to that, the mother and the son duo sang the 2024 latest track ‘Survival’. 

Wyclef Jean Joins Lauryn Hill on the Stage 

Donning a black dress, yellow cape, sunglasses, and a shimming head covering, Hill also brought rapper Wyclef Jean to the stage. Both of them performed on their 1995 smash hit ‘Fu-Gee-La’ and thrilled the audience. With their stage performances, the trio gave an idea to the fans of what they could expect from their upcoming Miseducation Anniversary Tour.

On 24 June, The Grammy Award winner and the Fugees announced the dates for their Miseducation Anniversary Tour. Featuring Wyclef Jean, YG Marley, Pras, and Lauryn Hill, the tour will commence on August 9 in Tampa at the Midflorida Credit Union Amphitheater and conclude on October 22 at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. 

This international tour will held in big cities including Los Angeles, Atlanta, Houston, Philadelphia, and more. As per Live Nation, $2 from each sold ticket will be donated to “the MLH Fund to benefit a list of local and worldwide organizations benefiting initiatives concerning Mental Health, Women’s Wellness, Community Small Business Development, Education, and more throughout the diaspora.”
