Jinx Manhwa Overview and Story 

Kim Dan, a physical therapist, has had bad luck in everything for as long as he can remember. Having an ailing grandmother, a whole lot of debt, and an old boss preventing him from getting a job at any hospital, explains the reason. 

Truly running out of options to keep up with the expenses, he was more than ready to take on any job. And he couldn’t be more delightful when he was hired as a personal physical therapist for the top MMA fighter, Joo Jaekyung.

However, what he thought to be a job of his profession, actually turned into something else, when Jaekyung called him with an oh-so-tantalizing offer of 5000 dollars. In turn, he required him to help with his ‘jinx’ by providing a particular type of ‘treatment’.

Nevertheless, the much-needed cash got Dan to accept this ill-fated deal, simply for the sake of his ill granny and mounts of loan sharks. Now, the question here is, will Dan be able to handle Jaekyung in his most primal state, while keeping up with the stress of his own life?

Jinx Season 1 Ending Explained

In the final chapters of Jinx manga season 1, we encountered how Joo Jaekyung lost a brutal fight with Junmin while being badly injured as well. Junmin, too, was injured more than him, which led to them both being admitted to a single hospital room.

Hearing his big talk, Jaekyung could do anything but control himself from landing a punch in his face. This misbehavior led to the former MMA champ being suspended for 90 days while having a need for a major shoulder surgery.

To top it all, he accused Dan of teaming up with Junmin and planning his loss, hurting his emotions and dignity in one swipe. Dan, concluding that he wasn’t required anymore, decided to finally leave Jaekyung’s life once and for all.

While packing his stuff at Jaekyung’s place, we can see how heartbroken Dan already is after losing his grandmother, who was the only source of love for him. Before walking through the door one last time, he compromised on writing a goodbye apology letter instead of a face-to-face meeting.

On the other side, we find Jaekyung in disbelief over the revelation that Doc Dan, has indeed quit. Scurrying away to find him, he reached his home and called out his name, but to no avail. All that’s left in place of Dan, was the letter with his final words.

The letter read:

“Dear Mr. Joo,

I can’t apologize enough. I know the polite thing to do is say goodbye in person, but I figured that’s not what you would’ve wanted, so I’m writing you a letter instead.

I’m sorry my mistake ruined your match. Today, I’m stepping down as your physical therapist, and moving out of this house. Thank you for your hospitality up until now. 

I’ve organized all my notes for replacement. At the end of each month, I will wire some money towards my debt that you paid off, as well as my grandma’s hospital bills that you covered. I will do whatever I can to pay off my debt, so don’t worry about that.

I hope you find a more competent physical therapist and that your shoulder gets better soon. I’m sorry for all the trouble I’ve caused.”

Reading this, our hot-tempered lead was anything but joyous. With his mind and emotions all over the place, we saw him throwing the ‘team black’ jacket that he once gave to Dan. And with that, the curtains of Jinx season 1 closed.

  A professional, top-level MMA fighter who has been keeping his status as a champion for a long while. Being known as a hot-tempered person, he proudly maintains his reputation as a ‘tyrant’. Having Dan as his new physical therapist, he revealed the truth about having a ‘jinx’ that must be cured for him to remain the undefeated winner. 

  

  This ‘jinx’ of him required a certain type of ‘treatment’ the night before his match. Offering Dan with a luscious deal of money, he asked him to accept a full-time contract to be his personal physical therapist.
