The popular anime Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest has just added a new voice to its cast. The official website announced on Sunday, September 2024, that the actress Yurika Kubo will be joining the lineup for this sequel series. She will be voicing the character Toka, an Exceed who showed her true form. The character made an appearance in the 13th episode of the anime.

Yurika Kubo as Toka

Yurika Kubo is well-known for her roles in Love Live! Franchise and playing Kaede Azusagawa in Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai.

Toshinori Watabe directs Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest, based on the sequel manga by Hiro Mashima and Atsuo Ueda, at studio J.C.STAFF, under the direction of previous director Shinji Ishihira. The series is written by Shoji Hata, known for his work on Fairy Tail scriptwriting, with character designs created by Yurika Sako.

Fans are eager to see how Kubo’s portrayal will overall shape the anime as the quest continues, with new episodes airing weekly.

The episode can be streamed on Crunchyroll and breaks down the story as:

“The rowdiest guild in Fiore Kingdom is back! Natsu, Lucy, Gray, Erza, and the whole Fairy Tail guild tackle the legendary “100 Years Quest,” tougher than any S-Class quest. Their goal: find the first wizard guild ever, located in the far north of Guiltina. Facing new gods, mysterious towns, and ominous foes, they’ll have their work cut out for them. Will they succeed where no wizard has before?”
