Highlights of Blue Lock Season 1 – Episode 24

In the last episode of Season 1, we find Blue Lock competing with the World 5 to reserve a spot in the Second Selection round. When the match began, we found Rin swiftly landing a goal within a few minutes, which came as a huge surprise for us. Noticing this, Isagi spoke to himself about making the next goal and winning this match super easily.

However, here’s a twist! Isagi and his team ended up losing the match at the start itself, by a score of 5:1. That is, Rin’s goal was the only one that passed through. After that, despite the numerous tricks and strategies they used, Blue Lock wasn’t able to secure another goal.

And, to be entirely realistic, this was bound to happen with no explanation required. The World 5 was a team of professional players who, more or less, played for their own country in international tournaments. They have already achieved the position that Blue Lock is ‘working’ to achieve.

Thus, it is simply fair for the qualified and experienced team to win, instead of making the main lead magically win just because they are the ‘main lead’. This clearly depicts how Blue Lock has a long way to go and a wide space for growth before they reach their milestone.

What to Expect from Blue Lock Season 2?

Season 1 of Blue Lock consisted of 24 episodes adopted from 11 volumes of the manga, which is 90 chapters as an estimate. However, Blue Lock season 2 is planned to be shorter, with only 14 episodes that would seemingly cover the rest of the volumes, i.e. 2-23.

Blue Lock anime season 2 will be exactly about the developments they made to earn their place in the selection. In the upcoming episodes, we will find the top 35 players playing against each other to form a final team of 11.

This skilled team is eventually going to face off with Japan’s National Under 20 team in an intense game. And if that wasn’t enough, Ego seems to have something extra in store to test the skills of his team, more or less a massive international, televised tournament.

Conclusion

With the ground set to witness flying balls, sweaty players, and a collection of intense matches, Blue Lock season 2 will definitely be the most satisfying conclusion given to the series. Inform your gang, set your reminders, and make sure to stock up on popcorn before the first episode of this season goes out on full blast!
