This year’s 41st issue of Shueisha’s Weekly magazine announced on Monday that the Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3 – “The Conflict” anime will premiere on TV Tokyo and its broadcasting partners on 5 October 2024 at 11:00 p.m. JST. The official accounts for the Bleach anime and VIZ Media also confirmed this today.
Pierrot’s second studio, PIERROT FILMS, will make the much-anticipated sequel. Studio Pierrot made the original TV anime adaptation of Tite Kubo’s BLEACH manga, which aired from October 2004 and March 2012. It had a total of 366 episodes. VIZ Media licensed it in English, and they describe the BLEACH: Thousand Year Blood War anime story as:
“The peace is suddenly broken when warning sirens blare through the Soul Society. Residents there are disappearing without a trace and nobody knows who’s behind it, meanwhile, a dark shadow is also extending itself toward Ichigo and his friends in Karakura Town…”

At Jump Festa, the first teaser trailer for the 3rd part was revealed, along with the announcement of BLEACH: Arrancar the Beginning musical.

The musical is also set to debut in 2024 and will be the first one for the franchise since 2015. The Anime Expo 2024 also announced the console game for BLEACH: Rebirth of Souls.
After the success of Part 1 which left a long-lasting impression on fans, Part 2 failed to do the same. Fans are hopeful that Thousand Year Blood War Part 3 will not perpetrate the same blunders as Part 2.
