The eagerly awaited comedy manga, ‘Babanbabanban Vampire’ by Hiromasa Okujimawas released its main trailer and visuals on December 12 on the official website and accounts.
The trailer marks the debut of the theme song of the film titled, ‘Ilyu Dana 2025 imase x mabanua MIX’. The song was performed by the talented songwriter and singer Imase.
The translation of the phrase, ‘Liyu Dana’ is ‘This hot water is so good’, the song was first brought to life back in 1966 by the Japanese chorus group named Duke Aces. Later it gained more popularity when the renowned comedy group, the Drifters adopted it as the closing theme of their television shows for several years.
Imase has a different take on this Showa-era classic and he infuses it with a laid-back soothing rhythmic style. In a statement, Imase shared, “When this song plays during the film’s end credits, I hope it envelops you in a cozy sensation, reminiscent of relaxing in a warm public bath. It would bring me joy if you could enjoy this song alongside the film.”
As the reports say, the Babanbabanban Vampire live-action adaptation directed by Shinji Hamasaki is all ready to have its premiers in 2025 on February 14. The character of Ranmaru Mori, a 450 years old vampire will be portrayed by Ryo Yoshizawa.
The target of Ranmaru’s bloodlust, Rihit Tatsuno will be played by Rihito Itagaki, who also took the role of Norman in the live-action film, ‘The Promised Neverland’. As for the role of Aoi Shinozuka, Rihito’s first love, actress Nanoka Hara is the choice.
The plot mostly revolves around Mori who is living with a secret of being a vampire and is on a quest for the ultimate delicacy. He is adamant about protecting Rihito’s virginity, however, when Rihito falls in love, Ranmaru’s efforts kick into high gear.
