Theatrical rights for North America and some international regions have been secured by the anime streaming giant Crunchyroll for the dark fantasy anthology film, ‘Attack on Titan: The Last Attack’. The exciting announcement was made during the CCXP (formerly Comic Con Experience) on Thursday in São Paulo, Brazil.
The film has been described as “a cinematic experience that consists of the final chapters of the amazing anime series into a monumental feature” by Crunchyroll. In collaboration with Sony Pictures Entertainment, both entities that are part of the Sony Group plan to release the movie in 2025 in the first quarter.
The original narrative of the plot is based on the manga creator Hajime Isayama with direction by Yûichirô Hayashi, The Last Attack promises a thrilling cinematic experience and a thrilling addition to the franchise.
The original anime series debuted in 2014 and had four seasons, the anime streamed its last episode in 2023 during Fall. It earned recognition from both fans and critics. Significantly, Three Seasons got a perfect 100 percent critic score and around 90 percent audience score on the website Rotten Tomatoes.
